You are invited to attend the opening show of new paintings by the visionary artist Timothy White, to be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 1st, at the Oasis Healing Arts Sanctuary in Ashland, Oregon. Scheduled to coincide with the First Friday Art Walk in Ashland, the evening event will also include musical performances by two southern Oregon inspirational musicians, Heather Noel and Sarik Shine. The art show will continue through February for those unable to attend the opening event.

Timothy White, who has lived in southern Oregon for the past 16 years, is an American photojournalist and visionary artist who has devoted his life to promoting the study of shamanism and entheogenic traditions. White is perhaps best-known as the editor and art director of SHAMAN'S DRUM, A Journal of Experiential Shamanism, which he founded in 1985. When the magazine folded in 2010, White opted to pursue his love of art and to start a new career as a visionary artist. A self-taught artist with no formal training in painting, White has evolved an unusual folk-art style that weaves realistic figures, mythic motifs, and colorful surrealistic settings into iconic paintings that seek to inspire the spiritual imagination of viewers. White's fascination with sacred iconography grew out of his personal interest in classical religious iconography and indigenous ceremonial art, but it has also been nurtured and enriched by his direct explorations of active dreamwork and shamanic entheogenic meditations.

Heather Noel is a singer, song-writer who shares acoustic prayers of truth from the heart. Her angelic transmissions are inspired by nature, ceremonies, and her dedication to creating peace on earth for the generations to come. She began her musical journey singing poetry in order to heal herself using sound and breath. Now she shares her songs as spiritual offerings, so that others can experience their transformational healing magic.

Sarik Shine is a talented guitarist and singer who performs regularly in Ashland [can you add a couple of descriptive sentences].

Visitors at the show opening will be treated to a selection of delicious gluten-free snacks and healthful herbal teas. Made by Williams master-baker Imani Rush-Pratt, the gluten-free snacks are enticingly delicious, so come early before they disappear.

The Oasis Healing Arts Sanctuary, located at 258 "A" Street, Suite 251 (in Ashland's Railroad District), is upstairs on the second floor of the building, around the corner from the Ashland Co-op, and directly across from Ace Hardware store.
