"Something that cures or relieves a disease; a healing medicine, application, or treatment."Floral Remedies is the most recent photographic collection from Lisa Byrne. Each image features bold textures and dynamic patterns. These designs were created one spring after Tulips, Lilies, Sunflowers, and Peonies unexpectedly jumped in front of Lisa's camera lens. For a portrait photographer, flower petals seemed an unlikely subject to pursue, but her enchantment with them grew."One afternoon I left a coffee shop abruptly to check on a peony, and realized something exquisite had happened. The photo of the flower was no longer the end result; it actually became the jumping off point."Lisa continues to photograph botanicals of all kinds, and uses a combination of traditional and digital technology to develop each print. In addition to color photographs, she is developing a catalog of floral imagery, a coffee table book, and note cards. The frames she uses are hand crafted from recycled oak, mahogany and pine. Lisa believes miracles exist everywhere, beauty is a choice, and creativity should be pursued passionately.Website: http://www.freerangephotography.net
