The May 15 folk concert at 8pm features husband and wife duo, Aaron and Nicole Keim, with their home-grown, modern folk revival.  Their ballads, banjo breakdowns, raggy choruses, gospel harmonies, and dusty americana gems are delivered on a wide variety of modern and vintage instruments, including some ukuleles which Aaron built himself.  Aaron currently works as a luthier for Mya-Moe Ukuleles near Hood River (www.myamoeukuleles.com).

Aaron’s Fingerstyle Ukulele Workshop at 5:30 pm will cover techniques that make the ukulele sound like a whole orchestra, with melody and accompaniment at the same time!  Students will work on a picking pattern, incorporate a melody, and adjust the picking pattern to suit other songs. The ability to read music or tablature will be a big help, but not required. All levels welcome.
