Vitalist School of Applied Herbology presents...Field Botany for HerbalistsTaught by Botanist Jesse Millerwith Jon Carlson C.H.Would you like to explore the stunningly diverse medicinal plant communities in wild places of southwest Oregon? This unique class for wildcrafting herbalists (and aspiring herbalists) follows the bloom tide of the Klamath / Siskiyou region through an entire season, emphasizing plant identification, classification, and morphology.From spring flowers to fall fungi, we will investigate the landscapes and medicinal plants of our unique and diverse bioregion. Clinical herbalist and teacher Jon Carlson will assist Jesse, providing information on plant therapeutic properties as well as techniques of ethical wildcrafting.Class Times:10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. First Sunday of every monthMarch through October (8 classes) – starts March 6!Full term commitment required!Class Structure:The first class will be held at the school – 340 A St. #7 in Ashland. Subsequent classes will be held in the field at specified locations.
