On Tuesday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 21 from 7:15 – 9:00 p.m. Rabbi David Zaslow is offering a two-week training in the technique of “Farginnin.”Farginnin ~ the best kept secrets in Judaism ~ is a little known method of empowering volunteers, fellow board members, community members and family members. It is based on a teaching that originated in Eastern European Yiddish culture in the sixteenth-century. Thetechniques can easily be adapted by any business or organization, so please this one-of-a- kind class.Rabbi David says, “In a way farginnin is more of an attitude than a method, and we can see how this ‘attitude’ has profound application in all of our work and volunteer lives today. What I love about farginnin as a method is that it acknowledges the begrudging and envious energies that exist in all our communities.But, rather than trying to suppresses negative emotions, the technique of farginnin actually transmutes negativity (i.e. envy, jealousy) into positive community-affirming actions.”Ayala says, "this technique is so unique and simple - you will be amazed at how it will change your reality and those around you."Cost of this class is $25 per person, or $21 for those who pre-register by July 1st.
