Explorations of Death and Dying with Rabbi David Zaslow
Each month Rabbi David hosts an evening of Explorations of Death and Dying. On Thursday, May 22 at 7:30 PM, storyteller and author Debra Gordon Zaslow will speak about the life-changing experience of mid-wifing her 103 year-old grandmother to the other side. She will explore the choice of bringing death into the home with family, caregivers, hospice, and all the ramifications. She will talk about process of being with a dying person on their own terms, while meeting the needs of family at the same time. She will explain how her grandmother’s shedding of old layers during the dying process helped to create a new bond between them, and how the surfacing of family stories allowed her to see her life in a new context. $10.
