ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum has turned Earth Day into Earth Week, April 19th to 23rd, with five days of activities and speakers, all culminating with the 10th anniversary celebration of Rogue Valley Earth Day on April 23rd.

There will be hands-on exhibits teaching about protecting our earth, and each night a dynamic speaker will present the latest information on green businesses, technologies, and homes, as well as alternative wave energy, plans for our national parks and corporations that promote sustainability.

ScienceWorks’ Earth Week speaker events are free to ScienceWorks members and $5 for non members. All presentations begin at 7 p.m. in the ScienceWorks’ SciTheater.

Tuesday, April 19: Tonight’s speaker is Sean Smith, policy director of the National Parks Conservation Association and former Yellowstone Park Ranger.  Sean will share his perspective on the value of conserving land and future plans for National Parks, particularly those in our area.
