This new (2013) documentary takes a fresh look at the 53-year-old US trade embargo of Cuba. Though conversations with people from all walks of life, both in and outside of Cuba, we examine the political and human sides of this conflict. Why was the embargo instituted, what was it supposed to accomplish, and what have actually been the results?
The film (52 min.) was shown February 1 on PBS on the East Coast, and has won honorable mention at film festivals. Discussion and Q & A included, and information about the Pastors for Peace 2014 Cuba Caravan, due here July 12. Doors open at 6:45, and all are welcome!
