TRANSITION TOWN ASHLAND invites you to join us at this month's Action Planning Meeting to CONTINUE THE PROCESS OF CREATING THE GREAT UNLEASHING on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Gresham Room, downstairs at the Ashland Public Library.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT IS THE GREAT UNLEASHING?The Great Unleashing is one of the most important events in the life of a Transition Town. It's a time when the Transition group reaches out to the whole community, to engage, to celebrate, to share ideas, possibilities, inspiration, and fun. The specifics of an Unleashing vary from town to town: local residents design the event that works best for their own community. The elements of an Unleashing may include speakers, music, food, movies, meetings, activities for kids ... whatever feels right for that locale. It helps the people of the community to become aware of the issues that are facing us, and ways we can collaborate to respond to them. It encourages people to get involved, to be part of the solution, and to feel good about that.At last month's Action Planning meeting, we asked attendees to participate in a visioning process, and many excellent ideas were brought forth. We harvested the results of that discussion, and summarized them.
