Transition Town Ashland
July 1: Connect With Your Transition Town Neighbors
People everywhere say they're hungry for community. In May, we hosted a special TTA meeting that was devoted to addressing that need. Bill Kauth facilitated, and he gave us guidance in how to proceed. We broke out into small groups for personal sharing, and it was a very strong experience to get to knoweach other in that way, to give and receive that kind of caring attention.Everyone in the room said they wanted to do more of this in the future.
This kind of connecting is wonderful for its own sake,
and it is the fertile soil needed to grow a resilient Transition community.
We're going to explore this further at our next
First Thursday meeting, July 1, at 7 pm at Peace House
543 S. Mountain, just above SOU, in Ashland.
At the meeting in May, there was interest in arranging similar meetings in people's homes over a four-week period. If we want to, we can follow up on that at the First Thursday meeting.
Bring a friend and join us, as we continue the journey of building community.
Please share this information with friends who are interested in local sustainability.
Thank you.
