Join us for an evening with Fire Expert, Richard Fairbanks, to learn how past land management decisions have brought us to where we are today and solutions for tomorrow.

Fire expert Rich Fairbanks lives in SouthWest Oregon and has over 40 years of experience in Wildfire Management. Fairbanks holds a Master's of Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon and has had a number of positions inside the U.S. Forest Service including his position as the Interdisciplinary Team Leader for the Biscuit Fire Recovery Project after the 2002 fire in the Rogue Siskiyou National Forest.

During this fire season, take some time to learn about how weather, past land management, and the geology of our region shapes our relationship with fire. Together we can discuss the best practices that land managers and homeowners can use to work with fire as a tool for community safety and forest health.

As we enter into a hotter, drier climate, it’s now more important than ever to learn about forest fire and practical implications for the modern human relationship.
