A Bob Brozman concert is a dynamic tour of the world of guitar, the blues of many countries, rhythms and languages, played on 5 or 6 instruments. A master of slide, fingerstyle, and percussive guitar, Brozman’s exhilarating show spans the global and musical spectrum. Bob's familiarity with diverse world music cultures produces a blending of rhythmic and timbral influences. His rhythms resonate with elements of blues, jazz, Gypsy swing, calypso, sega, and even the most modern hip-hop and ska beats. His chords and harmonies articulate a blend of timbres from
Hawaiian, Indian, African, Japanese/Okinawan, Caribbean, and American roots
blues.
Brozman was voted "Best World Guitarist" in Guitar Player Magazine's 2010 Readers' Choice Awards. He was also voted "Best Acoustic SlidenGuitarist" by Acoustic Guitar Magazine's Players' Choice Award voters in 2009 and was lauded by Acoustic Guitar as "one of the world's most respected slide guitarists."
"Engrave his name in letters of fire on the Mount Rushmore of American slide guitarists!"- Rock and Folk Magazine, Paris
"An authentic encyclopedia of primitive blues of the world delivered with virtuosity and unusual humor…"- El Pais, Madrid
