If you are struggling to create interesting, complete characters in your fiction or if you are finding it hard to get to the emotional levels in your memoir writing, this workshop is for you.Morning Session: (Free to members-$5.00 for visitors) 9:30-12:00.Understanding Emotional Triggers in WritingAn emotional trigger is an intense state of feeling that can be triggered by a person, an image, an idea, a time or place. If writers are consistently told by perceptive readers that their main characters are diffuse, they need to do the work of making sure that what triggers the deeper emotions of their characters is accessible and palpable to readers. They also need to put characters into environments and situations that triggers these deeper states of feeling.Afternoon Session: ($40.00 for all participants) 1:15-4:15.The Spirit of StorytellingThis workshop will take writers through a step by step process to create powerful, dynamic character descriptions that will propel a character's story journey.
