On Saturday April 16, at 7:30pm, Houston’s Custom Framing & Fine Art Gallery in Ashland will host an intimate showing of the award-winning documentary, Na Kamalei: Men of Hula, by filmmaker Lisette Flannery – accompanied by a hula pre-show highlighting the men’s class from Ashland’s very own hula school, Ka Pi’o O Ke Anuenue. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the school as its dancers prepare for a June performance at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of historic Pu’uhonua O Honaunau Park on the island of Hawai’i. Tickets are $7-$10 and seating will be limited.  Advance purchase of tickets available at Houston’s Custom Framing. Early arrival is recommended (doors open at 6:45 pm).
