Her potently spirited voice and high energy kirtans have generated waves of love throughout communities in the islands of Hawaii, the west coast, and Europe, always creating a deep sense of intimacy with the divine. Jaya Lakshmi is also well known as the lead singer and songwriter for the band 'Lost at Last' a popular high energy electronica tribal trance experience that toured extensively in the western US from 1997- 2005.Songs and info at:http://www.jayalakshmi.net/http://www.myspace.com/jlakshmiZonka & FriendsZonka plays percussion for world-music from Eastern Europe to the Mediterranean, North India to North Africa (tar, tabla, bendir, ziltar, dharbuka, djembe, and conga) and is joined by friends.
