Ashland Author Signs Inspirational Movie Book,"Movies and The Meaning of Life," at Rogue Valley Media ExchangeAshland author Suzette Mecca signs her book "Movies and The Meaning of Life" on First Friday, February 6, at the Rogue Valley Media Exchange. "Movies and The Meaning of Life" is a pocket guide to movies that inspire, categorized by sub-genres such as the afterlife, reality, and the power of love. Readers can choose from more than 200 movies that touch the soul. The book signing runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at 258 A Street, Ashland, near the Ashland Food Co-op. To make movie choices easier, Suzette realized the need for creating the sort of sub-genres that Movie Lovers can identify with. With "Movies and The Meaning of Life," a guide celebrating movies that truly speak to meaning in our lives, Suzette, long-term Ashland resident and former RVML Office Manager, introduces The GOOD MOVIE GUIDE Series—a series that puts new spin on old themes.Her next title in production is "Movies and The Battle of the Sexes."Suzette Mecca has lived in Ashland since 1967 and has been an avid movie lover since she wore footed-p.j.'s to the movies. Now she collects good movies like fine art, and using her pseudonym, ZetMec, has been working on The GOOD MOVIE GUIDE Series since 2003.A portion of proceeds of books sold at the signing will be donated to RVML.
