Hi! On the topic of books and relating to resolving diastasis recti: I have not yet checked out Elizabeth Noble's Essential Exercises for the Childbearing Year but have a note to self to do so and pass on to women healing and working on abdominal restrengthening. I also think an experienced Pilates teacher would have insight. Thanks for the info!
aloha Rhione! Just spoke to Irina recently, I knew you would make a great match for them! Got your note on facebook, I'll reply here - as far as the hypnobirthing we are tenatatively going to be on spring break at that time, I'll let you know once we firm up our plans if we are here we'd be happy to share :)
For diastasis recti:
I highly recommend the use of a faja at least while exercising, and as often as Mama will wear it. For this case it is worn higher that it is normally worn which is to support the uterus (pregnant, postpardum or just displaced). I think the Maya Abdominal Massage is helpful, I modify the technique as well as add some cross fiber friction over the area. Crunches done with arms crossed are the only exercises I remember off the top of my head. It has been awhile so I'll look in to it a bit more and let you know! Be well, hope you get out to enjoy these gorgeous days!
