Hi John, We haven't met yet. I look forward to meeting you in person at some point. I've been thinking a lot about citywide composting, an interest activated by a recent article in the New York Times about apartment dwellers composing with worm bins. This link provides information about San Francisco's composting program. I hope we can develop something similar in Ashland. To me, rebuilding the soil with compost and creating a more vibrant network of community gardens and local food growing are very important aspects of local self-sufficiency.
Thanks for all your great work and election victory. Hope you can come and meet/greet with us this Thursday for our first gathering of new members. See the events calendar for more details. Blessings be on our fair city.
May your creative projects all be blessed. You can utilize this network as it grows to promote yourself and your projects/business/organizations. This is our own community version of MySpace/FaceBook.
You can fill out your "MyPage" with more information and resources. In the "text" box you can add a description, photos, etc. In the "RSS" box you can add any RSS feed. You can also upload a profile photo under "MySettings" so we can feature your page.
Use this network to promote yourself in the local community by inviting your friends under "Members" to see your "MyPage" profile and add their own. This is how the network grows strong and we are kept informed locally.
